I happen to survive on this planet for long enough (well, a little more than a quarter century) that I feel its time for me to look back and count what I have achieved. Zilch - that's what I could count when the month of August started. Well, I don't think I need to feel gloomy about it, considering the fact that I still have a lot of life left in me. Its that time of the year when I normally feel a little nostalgic - Yes, my birthday !!
I have decided that I have lived enough of life within the boundaries of morays and norms established by the society. Living on extremes seem to be the calling for me. How will you know your potential unless you push yourself to the extremes? Let me be very clear that I'm not talking about breaking laws or being anti-social. I'm talking about breaking the conservative mind-set and being creative, bold and different. I might be painting a dull picture of the life I have lived so far but that is because my definition of achievement and challenges is a little more complicated (and maybe exaggerated) than what you will normally find in the dictionaries. I might have already done or experienced more than what an average guy of my age would have done or experienced, but, still I feel something is missing in life. Now, I wish to make every year of my life eventful. So, here I am - trying to change my course of journey against the wind and the world, towards a direction in which I wish to go.
I'm activating my mission mode. The missions have already started with an achievement on 10-Aug-2011 (my birthday). The first mission will have to be a secret, at least for the time being. All I can mention as of now is that this year's birthday was the most memorable day of my life. Starting on a positive note is good for the long haul. I'm a horse for the long race. Now, I will be jotting down missions to accomplish and then will track them as well (under separate posts within this blog), with periodic check-points. The Missions will be SMART - Specific, Measurable, Achievable (not easily though), Realistic (for crazy minds), Time bound !! I already have a list of things to do before I depart - ranging from publishing a book of mine to swimming with the Dolphins.
Wish me luck now - I'm going to stand up against my destiny and the odds are extremely heavily stacked up against me (based on the experience I have had with my destiny so far).
Meet you all in my mission posts.
Live life as you wish and sail towards the shore that you wish to go !!
